A Letter to a Stranger

Day 23.

 Dear Stranger,

You don't know me and I don't know you. We don't know each other. Still I want to write this letter to you. Just in case one day you stumble upon this blog.

So, how are you today? Hope everything is going really well in your life. If not, don't worry. You're going to get through pass all of those obstacles you're facing.

Now, put your earphone and play some music. Get drowned with your own thoughts. Write down things that have been bugging you. Talk to someone if you think things are getting unbearable. Don't hold them for yourself. Reach out to someone.

If things are okay now, you can continue reading this letter. This letter is written to you after all.


Before we go on, let me introduce myself first. My name is Kimi. In this letter I want to tell you about my dream when I was a kid.

Back when I was in elementary school I really wanted to be an astronaut and a badminton player. I loved reading about planets, milky way, moon, stars. I imagined what it would be like to be in outer space. And I loved watching badminton match! I thought it might be really awesome to play in a thrilling match, people rooting for me, and be a winner. Dude, I just love competition.

Unfortunately, I had to bury my dream. Reality bites. However, I'm still grateful for a life that I have now. Are you grateful with your life? You should be grateful, too. Gratitude can enhance your quality of life. You can benefit many things from gratitude, you know.

So, instead of whining (like I often do. Guilty!), crying, blaming ourselves, swearing, holding grudges, why don't we start writing a gratitude journal? I haven't done it myself, to be honest. But, I'm keeping a journal. I should start today, I guess.
